There have been some exciting happenings on the farm. Our official logo has been created. Marketing materials ordered. We have applied for our LLC. Preparations are being made to have different events created for adults, kids and families.
This has been 6 years in the making. What was a farm that needed a lot of love and clean up has been transformed into a safe, beautiful place. Will it ever be done….nope it is a farm! Is it perfect….nope. The animals that we have picked are all loving and friendly. Ree Homestead is magical and breathtaking.
The calendar will be broken up into seasons. Each season will have a set of events or opportunities to visit. As we go through the growing pains we will be seeing what works and what doesn’t. I have an incredible group of family and friends helping to map all of this out. It takes a village.
A short list of the events include: Day camps, overnight camps, family fun days, renting for birthday parties, renting for work events, renting for photo shoots, women’s retreats. Seasonal events such as snuggling with the babies in the spring, fall festival, Santa’s workshop. There are a lot of other things in the works but like everything it takes time. We would love to have school groups out to teach them about the animals and have them read to the animals. My passion is for this to be an educational farm where others get to learn different aspects of farming and animals. A place to let your guard down, relax and have some fun.
Keep an eye out for our new events page that is being created. Also make sure and check out our Facebook page because it will have the events created on it as well. Once we get it established the page will also list cost for visitors and events.
If you have questions or would like to schedule a private tour please email us from here or send us a message on Facebook. All visits need to be scheduled. Please, do not just show up expecting to get a tour. Remember this is still a working farm. I will get back to you as fast as I can but there may be times that we are in the middle of a major project or baling hay.
