Finally this evening Shelby had her lamb.  I had been watching her all day.  It was a big ram.  She was super dramatic during her labor.  Most sheep are quiet. Not Shelby!

I ended up having to help her out a little bit.  His legs were on the side of his head instead of under and one leg was caught behind her pelvis.  With her pushing and me gently easing him out we got the job done.  He was a good size.  He was talking to mom pretty much straight out.  

The little nugget is curious and sweet.  Big beautiful eyes.

Shelby is a great mom.  Even after a hard labor she was cleaning him off and making sure he got something to eat.
